“Independence Day”, “The Day After Tomorrow” and “2012” are only a few of the blockbusters produced by commercially successful German filmmaker – the “master of disaster” Roland Emmerich.
The master of the cinematic apocalypse repeatedly proves his sense for thrilling and visually stunning film material. At times he lets aliens threaten planet earth, at other times he experiments with the scenario of the world coming to an end due to disastrous climate catastrophes. But the renowned action producer can also surprise his audience with silent and delicate tones, for example with the historical thriller “Anonymous”. Once more Roland Emmerich proves that he is a man of many facets.
